Ultimate Polar Bear Adventure:
- Explore the Hudson Bay coastline in our wildlife viewing Tundra Bus. Your driver/guide will lead you through our wildlife viewing area in search of Arctic Fox, the Arctic Hare, and go where few in this world will go to see the monarch of the Arctic, the Polar Bear. Our tundra bus is equipped with a propane furnace, as well as a bathroom facility, and a rear viewing deck so you can safely stand outside while photographing.
- One of your days on the wildlife viewing Tundra Bus, you may travel just below the tree line into the Boreal Forest. On tundra viewing days we depart from the lodge at 8:00 A.M. Each tour departure date includes 2 days on the wildlife viewing Tundra Bus (one with Lazy Bear Lodge and one with Great White Bear Tours).
- A hearty lunch is included. Cultural and heritage tour days include time for an optional Dog Sled Expedition or a Helicopter Tour of the nearby Hudson Bay and Cape Churchill areas.
- In order to stay at our exclusive log cabin lodge you need to reserve directly with the Lazy Bear Lodge. Our one-of-a-kind facility will send you back in history. Imagine the early arctic explorers who traded with the local native people. A place where weary travelers could find a welcoming place to rest and share stories and experiences. Enjoy your evenings, eat the local food and meet people from far away. Like before, like now.

Authentic Arctic Expedition
Visit us here on the Hudson Bay, at the Lazy Bear Lodge. Although we can accommodate as many 40 on our tundra buses, we limit our group sizes to a maximum of 30 for your comfort and convenience.
Lazy Bear Lodge is a family business that has grown in this tiny Arctic community.
We offer expeditions that provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment. We are the resident professionals.
Experience the Northern Lights and a chance to live in the Arctic for a short time. We offer great food, good times, and the chance to meet interesting people while on this expedition.
Tours are led by naturalists with hands-on experience in the natural and cultural heritage of the Churchill region. The Lazy Bear Lodge offers expeditionary experience gathered since 1983 when its founder conducted his first expedition into the surrounding Arctic wilderness.
Package Includes:
- Round-trip service to/from Winnipeg/Churchill by turboprop aircraft
- All transfers and baggage handling
- All lodgings (3-4 nights at Lazy Bear Lodge)
- One dinner, two lunches, and all breakfasts. Dine fireside and choose indigenous organic foods such as Muskox, Caribou, and wild and natural Arctic Char (a Salmonoid fish) found in the Hudson Bay. Hearty vegetarian options.
